Research shows that there are differences in communication styles between men and women. However, this distinction is casuistry and of course can not be applied in general. It could be, in our daily interactions that difference does not seem real or even not happen at all.
In Allan & Barbara Pease book titled "Why Men Do not Listen and Women Can not Read Maps", the difference between men and women are clearly stated in great detail.
Male characters
Men prefer to talk about topics unrelated to the person (impersonal) and rarely admitted if they have financial problems, let alone ask for help for it. They are more likely to uphold freedom without restraint, and sometimes make decisions without discussing it with their partner.
Men would rather directly to the issue or make an interest to go to, for example, if the toilet is the preferred disposal needs of intent to perform alone. In contrast to women who can use the toilet for the 'room careless', 'dressing room' and even 'space girl talk.' Here we can see there are additional functions to be utilized by women's toilet. In terms of communication, this trait tend to occur in accordance with this habit. Men would rather directly to the issue under discussion and focus on what is being said. While the women do the opposite.

If the conversation is multi-topic and long-winded, they usually will not be able to absorb it better. Female characters

Women have a multi-tracking brain. If the men had only a brain structure that mono-tracking, women have a multi!
